About Preserved Roses & Proper Care
How are Preserved Roses Processed?
The preservation process is completely natural and the majority of Radiant Roses by Gigi's roses come directly from Ecuador. On the farm, the flowers are cut and the stems are put into a preserving liquid. The flower absorbs the liquid through its stem until the sap is completely replaced by the preserving liquid. After this process is completed, each flower goes through a selection process and is then ready to enjoy for a long-lasting rose that does not need special maintenance or care.
How to Care for Your Preserved Flower
With minimal care, you can enjoy your preserved flowers for many months. A preserved flower does not need water. The only requirement to maintain their beauty is to keep them out of direct sunlight so they don’t discolor, and to dust them every now and then lightly with a tissue or a blow dryer with ample distance with care not to damage their delicate petals. With these simple tips below, you can maintain your preserved flowers for up to a year or more.
Do not put your preserved roses in water. Remember, they are treated roses and they are not alive, even if they look like they are.
Keep your preserved roses out of humid places or environments. In coastal or rainy areas where humidity is high, it is recommended to keep them away from places where air enters or from ventilation grills.
Don’t put your preserved roses in places where they will be in direct sunlight. Preserved roses should not be exposed to the sun for prolonged periods.
Do not press, bend or squash your petals. They are delicate and can be damaged easily.
